Living Room

Boynton Beach, American.

Charming … comfortable … expensive. Restaurant is designed to look like a living room. Lots of comfy chairs around quaint looking tables. Looks a lot like the Muse of Boca, although management claims no relation to the former restaurant in Boca Raton. Like your living room at home, the Living Room restaurant is open everyday. I had the Fish Tacos for dinner. Tasty, but a bit dry. Ask for more sauce, they were very accommodating. Served as two tacos filled with Tilapia fish that lay on top of a bed of greens. The greens have a nice dressing, although the dressing makes the lower taco very soggy such that when you pick up the bottom taco, it basically falls apart. Served with pasta. The pasta is a cold and sweet risotto. Very small portion of the pasta … about two tablespoons. Additionally, along with the dish comes a rather tasty coleslaw, although they provide a tiny portion of this. When I asked for more coleslaw, and offered to pay for more coleslaw, I was told they don’t have much, and that if it was to be a side, it would be too expensive. I believe that. The Fish Taco was $14.00. Too expensive for what you get.

For a Sunday evening, the restaurant was a bit on the empty side. They do have live music which makes the place a bit noisy. I think this place would be a better bar than restaurant, after all who eats in their living room. If you dine here, you are invited to post an update. Waitress did say that desserts are huge and will fill you up. We didn’t stay and find out. Missing, but a nice touch would have been for the owner to visit tables and inquire on how things were. Perhaps she already knows.
