CrepeMaker – CLOSED

Coconut Creek. Crepes, French.

Unique, different and delicious. Hand-held crepes with a creativity long missed in the food industry. And it’s not fast food. And the price is just right. They make it while you watch. I had the Pesto Steak crepe. They start with a basic crepe, fold it, then add seasoned steak, red peppers, baby leaf spinach, tomatoes over a base of cheddar/jack cheese blend. Next they top it off with a thick pesto sauce. Very good, and very different. Store manager said that the Pesto Steak is one of her more popular crepes. Others include Caesar Chicken, Steak Fajita, Philly Steak and Raspberry Chicken. For desserts, try the Triple Treat. Pretty much everything is the same price. Lots of food for $7.95!

Returned for dinner on November 15, 2011 and learned that CrepeMaker is a lunch place. Avoid the place for dinner. Apparently all the good staff and service works the lunch time. In the evening there is one guy and his helper, and although that would seem like enough, the service is terrible. I literally waited over 20 minutes to place my order. I was the only person in line. Finally gave up and left. The store manager could care less. He seemed to be in his own zone regardless of the number of people waiting for their crepes to be made. So, my recommendation … go to the CrepeMaker for lunch … the staff is friendly and the food is great!
