Ovenella

East Boca Raton, Italian.  Not Rated.

Not rated only because I visited them too soon.  My visit was on their third day in business, and management seemed disoriented and a bit unfriendly.  On the plus side, the concept of Ovenella sounds great.  My waiter explained that Ovenella is owned by Brazilians, and that in Brazil, pizza is consumed daily.  Their pizza menu is extensive.  There is about 10 “Rosse” red pizzas, and about the same number of “Bianche” white pizzas.  And everything is cooked in an oven fueled by wood alone.  I had their “Quattro Formaggi” white pizza.  Taste was good, but wasn’t spiced enough.  Waiter immediately brought out several small dishes of spices.  With oregano and basil, this 12-inch pizza came to life.  Outdoor seating is open to cars passing bye, however I understand hedges will be added to provide more distinction, privacy and less auto fuel smells.  Ovenella has potential, and I’ll be back to update this review and provide a rating.
