The Falcon House

Delray Beach, Eclectic & Pedestrian. .

Drama unfolds at Falcon House. Chef Joshua Hedquist is a talented young chef willing to take chances to redefine food and taste. Whereas the owner is a nondescript gentleman that prefers not to be social and is more interested in making money than being known as a restaurant of taste. Owner’s preference is pedestrian foods like Mac’n Cheese, Burgers, and Sliders. Whereas Chef Josh prefers Plantain Tacos filled with Grilled Skirt Steak or a yummy Polenta Chorizo Terrine. Only problem is that Josh’s eclectic dishes are a bit skimpy on quantity. You are sure to leave hungry. However if taste is what you seek, make sure to order daily specials created by Chef Josh, and avoid the standard menu items. However if you are looking for burgers, then plan to spend some money, because Falcon House burgers cost quite a bit more than anyone else. If brought in with a special, pay close attention in making sure they don’t run out of promised items. For example, when I dined at Falcon, they ran out of a promised gourmet dessert and hoped that I wouldn’t notice. Also Falcon House is very noisy, actually lets just say loud. Also very cold … A/C feels like it is set in the 60’s. If you are looking for a good quality burger, consider Lindburgers, good quality, less cost and you can actually hear the person next to you. Summary: High costs, skimpy portions and great wines. Seems like a great place to hang out and meet people. Younger crowd.
